BOYS TENNIS VS. INDIAN CREEK (8/19)

TC BOYS TENNIS RALLY PAST INDIAN CREEK TO OPEN HLC PLAY. Triton Central boys tennis continued its strong start to the 2026 season Wednesday night, defeating Indian Creek, 3-2, at home in the Tigers' Hoosier Legends Conference opener. With the victory, Triton Central improves to 2-0 overall and 1-0 in HLC play. The Tigers took control of the match with a dominant performance in singles, sweeping all three singles courts. At No. 1 singles, Brayden Hoover defeated Indian Creek's Nolan Weir, 6-3, 6-0. Bradyn Robinson turned in another dominant performance at No. 2 singles, blanking Abram Wiseman, 6-0, 6-0. At No. 3 singles, Drayton Kermode completed the singles sweep with a 6-0, 6-2 victory over Lochard Rainwater. Indian Creek answered back in both doubles matches. At No. 1 doubles, Grayson Taylor and Mason Frische defeated Graham Gast and Colton Ayres, 6-3, 6-0. At No. 2 doubles, AJ Emenheiser and Aaron Hickson defeated Owen Rice and Cash Eck, 6-1, 7-5. Despite the two doubles losses, the Tigers' three singles victories were enough to secure the 3-2 team win and give Triton Central a victory in its first HLC match of the season. The Triton Central JV squad also remained undefeated, earning a 4-2 victory over Indian Creek. The JV Tigers move to 2-0 overall and 1-0 in HLC play. Brylon Scott earned an 8-4 victory at No. 3 singles over Brayden Barrett. In doubles, AJ Wittman and Hyatt Watson picked up two victories, defeating Malachi Chapman and Gideon Clark, 8-7(5), and Reese Cole and Braylon Reese, 8-1. Luke Dunn and Robbie Brown also earned an impressive 6-1 win over Kaiden Burton and Mason Lewis at No. 2 doubles. With both varsity and JV starting the season 2-0, the Tigers will hit the road Thursday for their next challenge. Triton Central will travel to Heritage Christian on Thursday, with the match scheduled to begin at 4:30 PM.
