TC VOLLEYBALL SWEEPS INDIAN CREEK IN HLC OPENER. The Triton Central volleyball program continued its strong start to the 2026 season Tuesday night, with both the varsity and JV Tigers earning victories over Indian Creek at home in the team's Hoosier Legends Conference opener. The varsity Tigers picked up a convincing 3-0 sweep, winning the opening set 25-19 before taking the second set 25-21. TC then closed out the match in dominant fashion, cruising to a 25-12 victory in the third set. Triton Central received strong contributions from throughout the lineup. Kate Collier and Lucy May led the Tigers offensively with 11 kills apiece, while Anna Kemper finished with 24 assists. Alaina Darlage turned in an impressive all-around defensive and serving performance, recording 23 digs and five aces. Savanna Plew added three blocks at the net. With the victory, Triton Central improves to 2-0 overall and 1-0 in Hoosier Legends Conference play. The TC JV squad also remained undefeated, sweeping Indian Creek 2-0. The Tigers won the first set 25-17 before finishing off the match with a 25-14 victory in the second set. Addy Wright led the JV Tigers with five kills, while Kenzie Hoover contributed two blocks. Ella Weaver recorded five assists, with Addi Kramer adding two assists. Maecy Cord chipped in two aces. The JV victory moves Triton Central to 2-0 overall and 1-0 in HLC play. The Tigers will hit the road Thursday as they travel to Greensburg for their next matchup. The JV match is scheduled for 6 PM, with the varsity match to follow at 7 PM. Triton Central will look to remain unbeaten while building on its 2-0 start and strong opening night of conference play.
