TC TRACK & FIELD COMPETES IN HOME INVITE. It was a strong night for Triton Central track & field Tuesday as the Tigers hosted a four-team invitational featuring Monrovia, Crispus Attucks, and Indy Genesis. By the end of the evening, the Triton Central boys stood atop the standings, while the girls squad turned in a solid runner-up finish. On the girls side, Monrovia captured the team title with 98 points, followed by Triton Central with 49. Indy Genesis (41) and Crispus Attucks (40) rounded out the field. Triton Central’s top highlight came from Ryn West, who delivered the Tigers’ lone first-place finish of the night by winning the 100-meter hurdles. The boys meet told a different story, as Triton Central put together a dominant showing to win the team title with 82 points. Monrovia finished second with 66 points, followed by Crispus Attucks (45) and Indy Genesis (35). Leading the way for the Tigers was Zeke Robertson, who had a standout night with three first-place finishes. Robertson swept both hurdle events, taking gold in the 110-meter hurdles and 300-meter hurdles, and also ran a leg on the winning 4x100-meter relay team alongside Braden Brown, Landon Slone, and Judea Holt. Brown added to Triton Central’s first-place tally with a victory in the high jump, while Henry Kemper soared to a win in the long jump. In the throwing events, Nick Tormoehlen secured another top finish for the Tigers by winning the discus. Triton Central will return to action Friday night when they host another invitational, this time featuring eight teams. Field events are scheduled to begin at 5:30 PM.
