TC SOFTBALL FALLS TO EASTERN HANCOCK, JV BEATS RUSHVILLE. Triton Central softball saw mixed results Tuesday night, with the varsity squad falling at home while the junior varsity team delivered a dominant performance on the road. At home, the Triton Central Tigers softball varsity team dropped its matchup against Eastern Hancock Royals softball, 14-11 and now sit at 0-3 on the year. Meanwhile, the JV Tigers turned in an impressive showing on the road, cruising to a 17-0 victory over Rushville Lions softball. Triton Central’s offense came alive in a big way, while the defense held Rushville scoreless to complete the shutout. The win marks the first of the season for the JV squad, improving their record to 1-2. Triton Central will now turn its attention to conference play as they prepare to host Tri-West Bruins softball on Saturday. First pitch is scheduled for 10 AM as the Tigers open Hoosier Legends Conference action at home.
