TC BOYS BASKETBALL ROLL PAST HERITAGE CHRISTIAN, ADVANCES TO SECTIONAL FINAL. Triton Central delivered a dominant performance Friday night, defeating Heritage Christian 63-43 in the IHSAA Sectional #43 semifinal at Eastern Hancock. With the win, the Tigers improve to 21-3 on the season and advance to the sectional championship game. The victory also ties a program record for wins in a season, matching the 21-win mark previously set by the 1964-65, 1996-97, and 2014-15 Triton Central teams. Triton Central set the tone early, taking a 14-12 lead after the first quarter. The Tigers created separation in the second quarter with a strong defensive stretch, holding Heritage Christian to just three points while building a 28-15 halftime advantage. The Tigers continued to control the game in the third quarter, extending the lead to 44-26 before pulling away in the final period to secure the 20-point victory. Eli Sego led the way offensively with 27 points. Brody Hartman added 12 points, while Henry Kemper contributed 11 in a balanced scoring effort. Jackson Faust and Brayden Hoover each scored four points, Conner McClure added three, and Landon Bailey chipped in two as the Tigers continued their strong postseason run. Triton Central will now play for the sectional title Saturday night at Eastern Hancock, facing Scecina in the IHSAA Sectional #43 championship. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 PM.
