TC BOYS BASKETBALL TAKES THE LEAD WITH 10 SECONDS LEF TO ADVANCE. Triton Central mounted a second-half comeback Wednesday night to edge host Eastern Hancock 47-45 in the IHSAA Sectional #43 quarterfinals. With the win, the Tigers improve to 20-3 on the season and advance to the sectional semifinals. The opening quarter was tightly contested, with both teams trading baskets on the way to a 10-10 tie after the first period. Eastern Hancock seized momentum in the second quarter, putting together a strong run to take a 27-16 lead into halftime. Triton Central began chipping away in the third quarter, cutting the deficit to four points at 36-32 heading into the final frame. The Tigers continued their push in the fourth, tightening up defensively and finding timely scoring to complete the comeback and secure the two-point victory. Eli Sego led the Tigers with 13 points, while Grant Long added 12 in a key offensive performance. Henry Kemper contributed eight points, Brody Hartman finished with six, Jackson Faust scored five, and Brayden Hoover added three. The win keeps Triton Central’s postseason hopes alive as the Tigers move into the sectional semifinals. Triton Central will return to Eastern Hancock on Friday night to face Heritage Christian in the IHSAA Sectional #43 semifinal. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 PM.
