Last night the Valley Track team traveled to Wabash to have a three way meet with Northfield. On the boy’s side Owen Omondi with a time of 11.31 and Parker VanDusen (11.46) took 2nd and 3rd in the 100m. Then swapped places in the 200m again taking 2nd and 3rd. Omondi and VanDusen were also a part of the winning 4×100 with Grady Moriarty and Hudson Shepherd, dropping almost a second from last week’s meet. Shepherd took 3rd in High Jump. Isaac Whetstone grabbed a 2nd place spot in the 400m. Will Kelley took second in discs with a throw of 105’2″. For the girls Betty Shepherd had a night grabbing 1st in all her events 100H (16.87) 300H (49.40) Discs (95’2″) and a part of the 4×100 which included Gaby Gonzalez, Hadley Wise and Izzy Woodruff. Woodruff also grabbed 1st in the 100m and long jump! Wise took a 1st in the 200m and 2nd in the 400m. Haley Derf threw for a 1st in shot put (29’3″) and Sydney Hall taking 2nd place! Derf also took a 2nd in discs! The Vikings travel Friday to North Miami for the North Miami Relays at 5:30pm.
