Champions. The Teays Valley High School Boys team won the inaugural Hamilton Ranger Roundup at Hamilton Twp yesterday. The team’s (44 points) grit and consistency led to an exciting victory over other schools, including Logan Elm (58 points), Bloom-Carroll (64 points), Hamilton Township (86 points), Groveport-Madison (136 points), Whitehall-Yearling (145 points), and Madison Christian (171 points). Brayden Fraley’s 4th-place finish (17:46.9) set the tone for the team, while the tight grouping of Logan Moore, Xavier Clay, Colin Carvel, Kellan Durbin, and Clark Thompson (all within 47 seconds of each other) showcased the team’s ability to run as a cohesive unit, a key to their success in cross country scoring. Freshman Colton Whitt and sophomores Xavier Clay & Kellan Durbin demonstrated significant potential, indicating a bright future for the team as these younger runners continue to develop.
