TVXC Girls compete at Tiger Cross Country Invitational at Pickerington Central

"Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe"-Abraham Lincoln The TVXC Girls continued their 2025 journey by traveling to Pickerington Central to take on tough competition from around the OCC as teams took a look at the conference course they will see in October. A week of hot weather led to a hot start as the Vikings got off the line quick and put themselves in position for a tough battle. Ultimately after facing off with state ranked teams: Canal Winchester, Big Walnut, and Westerville South, the Vikings finished in 4th place scoring 114 points. A great effort across the board for the Vikings as they pushed and fought for every spot. The Vikings were led by Reese Galinger who placed 2nd (19:29) and Addison Keplar 4th (19:39) as they secured an impressive two spots in the top 5. Not to be outdone, Grace Thanasack continued her strong season with her junior teammates, finishing 6th (19:39). Returning to racing, Julie Charter placed 52nd (22:10) and showed good promise as she knocked off the rust. Continuing her return, Kate Charter placed 57th (22:23) as she building momentum as the season progressed. Rounding out the scoring for the Vikings were Khloe Maxwell 82nd (23:08), who continue to show her strength as she pull double duty with volleyball and Iris Ardrey 84th (23:22), who moved up throughout the race, showing a strong finish. Sharpening their axe and testing its strength week by week as they prepare themselves for the goals they set and the competition ahead.
