While the 2026 Girls Golf season is already off to a fast-paced start, the Teays Valley Girls Golf Team opened the year with an impressive performance, battling through extreme heat and one of the area's more challenging golf courses to earn a third-place finish in their first OCC event of the season. This result was a true team effort, as every player embraced the challenge and stepped up when it mattered most. From more experienced leaders to those competing in their first OCC event, each golfer made valuable contributions that helped the Vikings achieve what we consider a successful opening performance. Although the final standings placed us third, the determination, resilience, and teamwork displayed throughout the day made this feel like a victory for our program.
