St. Pius X Catholic High School sophomore Noah Statzel opened the 2026 cross country season in impressive fashion Saturday at the Jackson Invitational, racing to a 5th-place finish on the challenging two-mile course! Noah crossed the finish line in 11:16, recording a remarkable 40-second personal best on the same course compared to his performance one year ago. His tremendous improvement, combined with a top-five finish against a strong field, is an outstanding way to begin the season and a testament to the hard work and dedication he has put in throughout the offseason.
