The Southwood Lady Knights concluded their cross country season on Saturday at the IHSAA Cross Country Regional 2 - New Haven, finishing 24th out of 25 full teams and 24th among 61 participating schools. Qualifying for the Regional meet is a significant accomplishment and a reflection of the team’s dedication and steady improvement throughout the season. The Lady Knights represented Southwood with pride and determination, closing the year among an elite field of competitors and marking a successful finish to a season defined by teamwork and growth. Paige Nelson led the team, placing 143rd in 22:07.9, followed by senior Hailey Collins in 150th with a time of 22:20.4. Andrea Widemon finished 171st in 22:35.1, while Grace Ranck recorded a PR of 32:11.4 to place 242nd. Olivia Ranck was close behind, finishing 243rd in 32:11.6.
