The Southwood Knights Cross Country teams competed in TRC at Manchester High School on Saturday. The girls' team finished 7th in the field of 10. Special Highlights from the race included Paige Nelson, who finished 12th in 22:03.2, earning All Conference Honors. Hailey Collins finished 15th in 22:23.6. New personal best times were set by Jericho Corn and Grace Ranck. For the 4th meet in a row, Jericho dropped his time once again, crossing the line at 21:08.1 and finishing 52nd. Grace Ranck broke her previous record by more than 20 seconds, setting a new PR of 32:52.5. Also competing for the Knights was Andrea Widemon (23:57.5) who placed 28th, Olivia Ranck (29:17.7) who finished 53rd in the field of 65 runners. In the boys' race, Andrew Wright (24:07.3) placed 75th. The Knight Harriers will compete in Sectionals on October 18th at Indiana Wesleyan University.
