Highlights on the evening: The 4x800m Relay team of Hailey Collins, Jaiya Corn, Paige Nelson, and Lola Winer raced to a 2nd place finish setting a new team record of 10:27.73. Paige Nelson set 2 new personal records in the both the 1600m Run and 3200m Run, placing 6th in the 1600 with a time of 5:56.34 and 6th in the 3200 in a time of 12:53.92. In the 400m Dash, Lola Winer finished 4th in a time of 64.97. Ella Chambers also competed in the open 400, setting a personal best time of 67.66. In the 800m Run, Hailey Collins (2:36.36) placed 4th in the field of 17 runners, while Jaiya Corn set a new personal best time of 2:42.24 with a 6th place finish. Alexis Lopez finished 3rd in the 300m hurdles in a time of 51.00. The Lady Knights finished their regular season with 17 wins and 13 losses. Southwood will compete in the Sectional Championship Tuesday, May 20th. Rounding out scoring for the Lady Knights in the Field Events was Ryleigh Pulley in the Shot Put with an 8th place finish and put of 86' 8; Alexis Lopez placed 1st with a High Jump of 5' 3", while Danika Holbrook picked up a 7th place finish with a jump of 4' 6. Alexis Lopez also placed 8th in the Long Jump with a jump of 14' 4.75.
