Knights Fall To Maconaquah in Dual Meet

Despite solid performances on the night, Southwood fell to Maconaquah in a dual meet Tuesday night. The 4x8 Relay Team of Jericho Corn, Blake Enyeart, James Unger, and Owen Enyeart pulled out a win against the Braves in 9:34.8. In the hurdles races, Poncho Lopez set 2 new PR's finishing 2nd in the 110's in a time of 17.44 and also 2nd place in the 300 Hurdles race with a time of 44.13. Cooper Drake, Blake Henderson, Isaiah Widemon, and Dillon Cochran competed in the 100m Dash. Drake picked up a 3rd place finish with a PR of 11.31. Henderson also set a new PR of 12.00. The Knights set 2 PR's in the 1600m Run as well. James Unger pulled in team points for Southwood by placing 3rd in a PR time of 4:55. 69. Blake Enyeart ran a new PR of 5:17.00. In the 400m Dash, Cooper Drake picked up a win in 55.3. Aiden Hawkins (58.87) and Weston Greiner (1:00.55) also competed for the Knights in the open 4. Owen Enyeart picked up the win in the 800m Run in a time of 2:09.6. James Unger placed 3rd in 2:15.8. Blake Enyeart (2:19.1) and Stratten Whiteman (2:43.00) also competed. In the 200m Dash, Cooper Drake finished 3rd overall with a time of 23.57. Blake Henderson picked up another PR on the night with a time of 25.53. Andrew Wright also competed in the 200 (26.2). Jericho Corn picked up points for the Knight by placing 2nd in the 3200m Run (13.33.7). Cruising to another win on the Knight was the 4x4 relay squad of Cooper Drake, Blake Enyeart, Owen Enyeart, and James Unger in a time of 3:51.00. In Field Event action, Gabe Mealy placed 1st in the Discus with a throw of 106' 4. The following boys also competed in the discus: Jayden Hartline, Victor Mondragon, Brystol Moss, Logan Shellhamer, Caleb Colyer, and Stratten Whiteman. Mealy picked up team points, placing 2nd in the Shot with a put of 42' 9.75. Victor Mondragon putted for a PR of 24' 0.5", along with Logan Shellhamer with a put of 22' 1.5". Moss, Short, and Whiteman also competed in the Shot Put. In High Jump action, the 3 competing Knights, Hawkins, Mealy, and Bo Liddick tied for 3rd with a jump of 5' 4" each. Lopez picked up a win in the Long Jump, setting a new PR of 19' 2".
