Southwood 8th Grade Lady Knights hosted the Southwood 4-way Invitational Tournament and came away tournament champions for the 2nd year in a row. The Lady Knights defeated Eastern in game 1 in a convincing victory 41-2. The Knights defense was to much the the lady comets. The lady Knights offense was clicking on all cylinders with one of our best shooting percentages of the season to date. The lady Knights defense overwhelmed the Comets with full court pressure defense which lead quick layups and open jumpers. The theme of the day was defensive pressure that lead to easy transition buckets. These ladies continue to improve in all facets of the game with continued growth of court awareness a true team concept that makes each girl better.
