In a hard-fought battle on the court, the Southwood 7th-grade boys basketball team faced off against Northfield, with the final score standing at 44-33 in favor of Northfield. The game proved to be a challenging one for the Knights, as Northfield's relentless full-court pressure led to numerous turnovers, ultimately becoming the decisive factor in the outcome. Despite a close score of 23-30 at the end of the third quarter, Northfield managed to pull away in the fourth, securing the victory. Dylan Hurst emerged as a standout player for the Knights, showcasing his skills with 8 rebounds and an impressive 13 points, shooting at an outstanding 67% from the field, hitting 6 out of 9 attempts. Cade Pershing contributed significantly on the offensive end, adding 11 points to the scoreboard, including three crucial three-point shots.
