The Southwood 7th grade basketball team fell short in a close matchup vs McCulloch Junior High School. The score was 19-21 late in the fourth quarter when Bray Bassett hit a fifth 3-point shot to bring the Knights within a basket. In the next possession, Dylan Hurst grabbed his 4th steal on the night and drove the length of the court to try and tie the score with under a minute to play. The basket did not fall, and Southwood had to start fouling to stop the clock. The final score was Southwood 21 and McCulloch 26. Bray Bassett led the Knights in scoring with 15 points, going 5-7 from the three-point line. Dylan Hurst added 6 points and 4 steals to help pace the Knights.
