The Southwood Knights competed at the Tipton Invitational Saturday morning. Special highlights from the race: Ava Stouffer continued her outstanding season with another 1st-place finish, crossing the line in 20:03.91 to earn the win! Paige Nelson finished 8th in 24:02.23. Freshman, Elli Simpson continues to show improvements each race, setting yet another PR of 28:37.83, dropping more than 50 seconds off her previous personal record. Elli finished 19th. Olivia Ranck finished 24th in a time of 30:12.3. Finishing in 25th place, Grace Ranck set another personal record as well, covering the course in 31:47.67. Two more personal records and another win made for a good race outcome for the Lady Knights! Boys' Highlights Recap: Riley Sutphin led the way for the Knights with a PR of 22:05.53, finishing 30th overall. Jericho Corn was 38th in 22:56.64 while Andrew Wright finished 40th in 23:24. Jacob Andrews finished 46th, setting a new PR of 26:38.26. Bentley Hawkins rounded out the scoring for Southwood, placing 47th in 27:53.84.
