June 6, 2026 vs. Riverton Parke Varsity Panthers Southwood Varsity Knights could not hold onto the lead against Riverton Parke Varsity Panthers on Saturday at Frontier Jr./Sr. High School and fell 14-9 despite leading by four at one point. Gracie Lambert collected three hits in four at bats in the loss. Lambert singled in the third inning, singled in the fifth inning, and singled in the seventh inning. Southwood Varsity Knights were the first to get on the board in the second when Avery Lovatto hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run. Riverton Parke Varsity Panthers scored five runs on five hits in the bottom of the fifth inning. Montgomery hit a solo home run to center field, Emma Ugoletti singled, scoring one run, Brenton singled, scoring one run, Aubri Morman singled, scoring one run, and Kinsleigh Ugoletti singled, scoring one run. Riverton Parke Varsity Panthers scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth on a home run to right field by Montgomery. Hadleigh Nickels earned the win for Riverton Parke Varsity Panthers. The hurler gave up 12 hits and nine runs (seven earned) over seven innings, striking out two and walking three. Makenzie Wilson took the loss for Southwood Varsity Knights. The southpaw went one and one-third innings, surrendering six runs (five earned) on three hits, striking out one and walking three. Sutphin started in the circle for Southwood Varsity Knights. The pitcher allowed 10 hits and eight runs (six earned) over four and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking one. Southwood Varsity Knights accumulated 12 hits in the game. Sutphin drove the middle of the lineup, leading Southwood Varsity Knights with three runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 3-for-4 on the day.
