Southwood Junior Varsity Knights Lose To Oak Hill

Southwood Junior Varsity Knights fell to Oak Hill 7-2 on Saturday. Southwood Junior Varsity Knights got on the board in the third inning after a wild pitch scored one run. An error gave Oak Hill the lead, 2-1, in the bottom of the third. Peterson earned the win for Oak Hill. The hurler surrendered two hits and two runs (one earned) over seven innings, striking out 14 and walking six. Haecker took the loss for Southwood Junior Varsity Knights. The right-handed pitcher went six innings, surrendering seven runs (one earned) on five hits, striking out five and walking seven. Ramos and Wilson were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected one hit for Southwood Junior Varsity Knights while hitting back-to-back. Southwood Junior Varsity Knights had a strong eye at the plate, collecting six walks for the game. Wilson and Strickler led the team with two free passes each. Wilson stole two bases. Evans went 1-for-3 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in. Miller went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Oak Hill in hits. Oak Hill worked the count all day, accumulating seven walks.
