Southwood Varsity Knights couldn't keep up with Northfield Varsity Norsemen and fell 11-0 on Wednesday. Northfield Varsity Norsemen were the first to get on the board in the first when a wild pitch scored one run. A walk by Dubois extended the Northfield Varsity Norsemen lead to 2-0 in the top of the second inning. Northfield Varsity Norsemen scored three runs in the top of the third on a home run to right field by Leming. Dubois earned the win for Northfield Varsity Norsemen. The pitcher gave up one hit and zero runs over four innings, striking out 11 and walking one. Schnepp took the loss for Southwood Varsity Knights. The hurler went four innings, giving up 10 runs (six earned) on six hits, striking out four and walking eight. Gidley led Southwood Varsity Knights with one hit in three at bats. Dubois and Sanders each collected two hits for Northfield Varsity Norsemen. Leming and Dubois each drove in three runs for Northfield Varsity Norsemen. Northfield Varsity Norsemen had patience at the plate, amassing nine walks for the game. Haupert, Bucher, and Sanders led the team with two free passes each. Southwood Varsity Knights welcome Huntington North on Friday for their next game.
