Knights record season comes to an end

Knights vs Monroe Central Jr-Sr High School (48 - 64) Loss The Southwood Knights boys basketball team's record season comes to an end at the Lapel Regional versus Monroe Central. The Knights rallied from an eight point deficit at half time to tied the Bears late in the third and then found themselves down only one point going into the fourth quarter. Monroe Central came out hot and scored 29 points in the quarter, to the Knights 14 points to claim the Regional 64-48. An historic season by the Knights and their seven seniors came to an end before they wanted it to, finishing the season at 22-4. Knights set a new school record for Defensive Avg at 48.7 ppg. The old record was 50.8 set in 2004-05. Senior Bryce Wilcox leaves as the schools second career leading scorer with 1407 pts. Second in career rebounds at 704, and first in FTA in a season with 196. Along with joining the 500 point club in a season with 536 points.
