The 2023-2024 School Year will go down in history as Southridge High School and Middle School have put together our FIRST GIRLS WRESTLING TEAMS! Our Girls are wrestling full schedules for the first time, and we are going to recognize these amazing young ladies along with our Lady Crew Wrestlers at Memorial Gym following the Boys JV Game THIS FRIDAY (12/1/23). The introduction of a girl’s wrestling program is paving the way for a promising future, empowering young athletes and fostering inclusivity within the sport. While not an officially sanctioned IHSAA sport, we believe it is going to be sanctioned in the very near future as girls wrestling has been recognized as an "emerging sport" within the IHSAA which is necessary to become an officially sanctioned sport with an IHSAA tournament series. When it is, Southridge will be ready to compete. These girls are trailblazers, and we are so proud of the hard work and dedication they have shown.
