ingles Competition The day began with the singles competition, where Southport bowlers excelled: Girls Singles (3 Games Qualifying): Addyson Rice: 1st Place (566) – Advanced to Regionals Leah Miller: 28th Place (330) Boys Singles (3 Games Qualifying): Pedro Sardinas: 9th Place (546) – Advanced to Regionals Connor Calhoun: 20th Place (502) Will VanSlyke: 30th Place (478) Aiden Auton: 73rd Place (277) Step Ladder Finals: The top four bowlers in each division advanced to the step ladder finals. Addyson Rice, seeded first for the girls, dominated her match against Greenwood’s Bella Blythe with a score of 176–138, claiming her third consecutive Girls Sectional Championship. Team Competition The team competition in the afternoon saw Southport finish 8th overall. Despite their efforts, the Cardinals did not advance as a team to Regionals. Conference Awards During the break between singles and team events, the Conference Awards were announced. Southport’s Addyson Rice earned multiple honors for her stellar season: High Average: 195 High Series: 500 High Game: 287 Looking Ahead to Regionals Addyson Rice and Pedro Sardinas will represent Southport at the Regionals on Saturday, January 25th at Classic Bowling Lanes in Bloomington, IN. Opening Ceremonies: 8:30 AM Competition Start: 9:00 AM Both athletes will aim to continue their postseason success and advance to the next stage.
