The Spring Lake Lakers defeated the Zeeland West Dux 9-2 in game one of the home doubleheader. Winning pitcher Ryan Grimm mixed his pitches keeping the Dux off balance, Allowing 2 runs (1 earned) 3 hits, 2 walks and struck out 4. Jaden Core, Oliver Smies, Owen Smies, Alex Batka and Maddux Kipling each had two hits for the Lakers. Dayton Clark had a two run single and Kipling drove in two runs also. Mason Roll scored three runs as the courtesy runner for catcher, Owen Smies.
