The #7 ranked, Spring Lake offense mustered just enough runs to complete the three game sweep over the #17 ranked Unity Christian Crusaders, 2-0. The Lakers finished their 3 game sweep with their third straight shutout against the Crusaders. Reid Grimmer was in control the whole game earning the win with a complete game shutout. He allowed 6 hits, struck out 4 and walked 1. Spring Lake scored both runs in the top of the 4th inning when Owen Smies singled with 2 outs, Alex Batka followed with a single, moving courtesy runner Mason Roll to third base who then scored on a double steal throwing error. Alex Strauss then doubled home Batka for the game's last run. Grimmer also had two hits at the plate.
