The Indiana High School Athletic Association announced the pairings for the 2026 Football State Tournament on Sunday evening, and Scottsburg will host the Washington Hatchets in the opening round of Class 3A Sectional 31 on Friday, October 23, at Warrior Field. Kickoff is tentatively scheduled for 7:00 p.m. The Warriors enter the final week of the regular season with a 4-4 record, while Washington currently stands at 1-7. Scottsburg will close out its regular season this Friday with a road trip to Brownstown Central before turning its attention to postseason play. A Look at Sectional 31 The seven-team sectional features a mix of familiar opponents and new postseason competition, including an undefeated Indian Creek squad that has emerged as one of the teams to watch.
