SCOTTSBURG — The Scottsburg Warriors will begin postseason play next week as they compete in the 2026 IHSAA Class 3A Baseball Sectional 30 hosted by Charlestown High School. The Warriors drew Charlestown in the opening round and will play on Wednesday, May 27 at 7:30 p.m. The winner advances to the semifinal round on Thursday, May 28 at 7:30 p.m. Scottsburg enters sectional play looking to make a strong postseason run against a talented field that includes Madison Consolidated, Corydon Central, North Harrison, Providence, and host Charlestown. The sectional opens Wednesday afternoon with Madison Consolidated facing Corydon Central at 5:30 p.m., followed by Scottsburg taking on Charlestown in the nightcap at 7:30 p.m. On the opposite side of the bracket, North Harrison received a bye and will face Providence in Thursday’s 5:30 p.m. semifinal. The winner of the Madison Consolidated/Corydon Central game will meet the Scottsburg/Charlestown winner in the second semifinal Thursday evening. The sectional championship game is scheduled for Monday, June 1 at 6 p.m., with the winner advancing to regional competition. Scottsburg will look to carry momentum into the postseason as the Warriors prepare for what is always one of the most exciting times of the baseball season.
