Warrior Golf Battles Elements, Finishes T-5 at Fuzzy Zoeller Invitational

SELLERSBURG, Ind. — Competing against a strong field at the Fuzzy Zoeller Invitational at Covered Bridge Golf Course, Scottsburg’s Warrior golf team turned in a solid performance, finishing tied for fifth place in a 20-team field. The Warriors posted a team score of 46-over par, tying with Providence and showcasing depth across their lineup on a challenging course that tested every aspect of the game. Leading the way for Scottsburg was Jace Luttrell, who paced the Warriors with an 81. Paxton Copple followed closely with an 83, while Lucas Miller and Nick Consley each added rounds of 85. Gavin Jones rounded out the varsity scoring with a 93. The tournament was won by Center Grove (+16), with several top programs competing in what proved to be a demanding early-season event. Despite the challenging setup and competitive field, Scottsburg held its ground and secured a top-five finish, a strong showing that highlights the team’s consistency and potential moving forward this season. With balanced scoring and continued improvement across the lineup, the Warriors look poised to build on this performance as the spring schedule progresses.
