The Scottsburg Warriors traveled to Jennings County on February 24 and came away with an impressive 75-67 road victory over the Panthers. A dominant fourth quarter and a huge night from Garrett Boling powered the Warriors to the win. Scottsburg shot 50% from the field and connected on 11 three-pointers in the contest. After a tightly contested first three quarters, the Warriors erupted for 28 points in the fourth to pull away and secure the win. Boling led all scorers with 28 points, shooting 10-of-15 from the floor, 4-of-6 from three-point range, and 4-of-6 at the free throw line. He also added 4 rebounds and 3 assists in a well-rounded performance. Jarin Luttrell added 18 points, while Bennett Pearcy scored 12 and Caiden Boswell contributed 11. Caleb Salas, Braden Cox, and Jaxon Owens each added 2 points to round out the Warriors’ scoring. Jennings County was led by Jeremiah Davis with 22 points and Johnny Elkins with 21. The Panthers kept the game tight through three quarters before Scottsburg’s fourth-quarter surge proved to be the difference. The Warriors trailed 16-12 after the first quarter but responded with a strong second period to take a 32-31 lead into halftime . After Jennings County briefly regained momentum in the third, Scottsburg closed the door with a dominant final eight minutes.
