The Saginaw United Girls Soccer team battled the Caro High School Tigers to a hard-fought 0-0 draw on Monday, May 18. Both teams generated several strong scoring opportunities throughout the match, but stellar defensive efforts and standout goalkeeping on both sides kept the game scoreless. In goal for United, Happiness Rukundo turned in her second consecutive shutout, anchoring a determined Phoenix defense that refused to yield against the Tigers' attack. The performance is the latest sign of growth and resilience from a Saginaw United squad now setting its sights on the postseason. The Phoenix will open district play on Wednesday at Bay City Western, taking on the Warriors with kickoff scheduled for 5 p.m.
