Saginaw United Earns First Victory With Strong Team Performance

Saginaw United earned its first victory of the season in impressive fashion, defeating Genesee High School 20-14 at the Lapeer High School Football Field. The team came out with energy on both sides of the ball and delivered one of its most complete performances of the season. The rushing attack led the way offensively as Amariay Babers, Jemaryah Bassett, and Illianna Enriquez each scored rushing touchdowns. Their explosive runs helped Saginaw United control the momentum throughout the game. Saginaw United also capitalized on a key extra-point opportunity when Kaliyah Watson connected with Janet Lindsey for a successful two-point conversion. Defensively, the team stepped up in a major way. Aaliyah Williams recorded a huge interception that helped shift momentum in favor of Saginaw United, while Demya Baker led the team in flag pulls and anchored the defense with a strong all-around performance. The victory marks an exciting milestone for Saginaw United as the team continues to grow together and build confidence heading into the offseason.
