Dear Husky Nation Families, As we work toward the close of the spring semester and the 2025–2026 school year, we want to remind all student-athletes and families of the importance of staying on top of academic progress and final grades. Please note that fall athletic eligibility is determined by spring semester academic results. In order to be eligible to participate in athletics and activities this fall, students must: Be actively enrolled in a minimum of 3.5 units of credit Successfully earn 3.5 units of credit during the previous semester Parents, we need your help and partnership during this important time. Please make sure you are regularly checking your child’s grades and communicating with teachers, counselors, and coaches as needed. Final grades will not be processed until after Memorial Day, so there is still time for students to improve their academic standing. The spring semester does provide an important opportunity for students who may fall short of eligibility requirements. Up to 1.0 unit of summer school credit may be applied toward spring semester for fall eligibility requirements. Please note: Summer school credit must be for a core course required for graduation The replacement course must match the failed course area Example: A failed science class cannot be replaced with a PE course for eligibility purposes If your child may be in danger of not earning the required 3.5 credits this semester, we strongly encourage immediate communication with their coach and school counselor to discuss summer school enrollment and eligibility recovery options. Our goal is to support every student-athlete academically and help avoid preventable loss of eligibility for the upcoming fall season. If you have questions regarding eligibility requirements or your student’s academic standing, please contact the Ritenour Athletic Office for assistance. Thank you for your continued support of our student-athletes and commitment to helping them succeed both academically and athletically. Sincerely, Athletic Department Ritenour High School
