Rensselaer Central Varsity Bombers Beat Merrillville 10-2.

Rensselaer Central Varsity Bombers won big over Merrillville 10-2 on Monday. Rensselaer Central Varsity Bombers got on the board in the top of the first inning after Ryan Kellner singled down the left field line, Cayden Webb grounded into a fielder's choice, and Braedy Martin singled to left field, each scoring one run. Rensselaer Central Varsity Bombers added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Webb singled to center field, and Ryker Woudema grounded out, each scoring one run. Brayson Johns earned the win for Rensselaer Central Varsity Bombers. The righty allowed five hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out seven and walking two. Rensselaer Central Varsity Bombers tallied 11 hits in the game. Johns, Dawson Cain, Webb, and Martin each collected two hits for Rensselaer Central Varsity Bombers. Martin went 2-for-3 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in. Dillan Simmons led Rensselaer Central Varsity Bombers with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating six walks for the game. Rensselaer Central Varsity Bombers turned one double play in the game.
