Lady Quakers Stay Perfect in Mid-State Play and Move to 8-2 on Season

The Plainfield girls' basketball team continued its strong start to the season, picking up two convincing wins this past week. The Quakers defeated Avon 63–33 and followed it up with a dominant 77–45 victory over Whiteland. With the win against Whiteland, Plainfield improves to 3–0 in Mid-State Conference play and 8–2 overall. Win vs. Avon: Plainfield showcased a balanced offensive attack in the victory. Abrielle Dugan led the way with 13 points, while four additional Quakers scored 8 or more: (Hannah Menser – 12, Moriah Armstrong – 10, Berkeley Williams – 8, and Emma Righter – 8). Win vs. Whiteland: On Friday night, the Quakers overcame a slow start before pulling away from Whiteland behind standout performances from Hannah Menser, who scored 20 points, and Berkeley Williams, who added 18. Plainfield was outstanding at the free-throw line, shooting 21-for-25, which helped seal the conference win. The Lady Quakers return home Tuesday, hosting Top-10 ranked Center Grove at Plainfield High School. JV tips at 6:00 p.m., followed by varsity. Come out and support Coach Benge and the Lady Quakers!
