Quakers Sweep Pike Invitational Championships

The Plainfield boys and girls swim teams turned in strong performances on Saturday, sweeping the Pike Invitational Championships. The girls' team captured the invitational title with an impressive 459.50 points, while the boys' team followed with a championship of their own, scoring 384.50 points on the day at Pike High School. Several standout swims helped power the Quakers to the top: Girls Highlights: - Allison Woodard won the 200 Yard IM with a time of 2:16.59. - Aubrie Keating claimed victory in the 100 Yard Freestyle in 55.43 seconds. - The Plainfield 200 Yard Freestyle Relay team took first with a time of 1:42.98. - The 400 Yard Freestyle Relay team earned 2nd place, finishing in 3:52.22. Boys Highlights: - Jaxon Russell won the 100 Yard Butterfly in 52.66 seconds. - The Plainfield 200 Yard Freestyle Relay team finished 2nd with a time of 1:30.24. - Rheid Busby captured the Boys Diving Championship with a score of 212.20. The Quakers return to action Tuesday night, hosting Franklin Community in a Mid-State Conference matchup. Swimming begins at 5:30 p.m. at Plainfield High School.
