Friday night, the boys raced at South Christian’s Under the Lights Invitational. With the starting gun going off at 11:45 p.m., they raced like it wasn’t well past their bedtime! Donnie Richmond (Jr.) and Aaron Martinson (So.) both finished among the top 50 out of 276 runners. Donnie placed fifth overall, while Aaron finished 16th. The rest of the team also turned in promising times to begin the competitive season. A standout performance came from freshman Isaak Russo, who took six minutes off his previous time to finish in 21:26. Camdyn Rairigh (So.), making his cross-country debut, finished right behind Isaak. Overall, the Raiders recorded four personal records and two season-best performances. It was a great start to the season under the lights!
