The Lady Trojans also ran Jamboree 2 and the Dewitt Invitational last week! Battling some small injuries, sickness, and all that life can throw at you the girls persevered and ran hard both days. Wednesday they held 3rd in the conference behind Goodrich and Lake Fenton. Led by Abby Crandell setting herself up to be all conference again finishing 9th. Ava and Miriam ran well together as did Adi Doyle in her first race of the season with Summer and Gracie right behind her. Saturday we saw Adi Doyle run a nice PR, Maggie Powers run her 2nd best ever 5K, Ava run a very tough race to run her 2nd best 5K, Abby led the way for us, Miriam was our 3rd runner, and Summer worked with Adi the whole race finishing back to back. The girls did a great job “weathering the storm” of last week and I’d look for some really nice performances tomorrow at the Greater Flint Championships! FIRE UP TROJANS! Owosso Girls Race Greater Flint CC Championships: The Owosso girls XC team competed against 17 other teams, finishing 13th out of 18 teams. Abby Crandell let the way with a 19:37, earning 8th place overall. Adi Doyle followed with a fantastic performance, running a personal best of 23:18. Summer Walker followed closely with 23:23, with Ava Spencer finishing in 23:29 and Miriam Skarich in 23:33. Gracie Ockerman crossed the line in 24:12, followed by Maggie Powers in 25:35. Congratulations Girls! Next Saturday, they will compete at the Greater Lansing cross country championship.
