The Trojans took on the Linden Eagles at their home on Wednesday night. The Trojans were playing a night after their game against Kearsley with Linden coming in with an extra day of rest having their last contest on Monday. Linden would give the Trojans all they could handle. Sam Baade would open the scoring in the first half for the Trojans, hitting a nice shot that curled just out of the keeper’s reach to put the Trojans out front. That would be the only goal of the first half. Linden struck next, notching the score at 1-1 in the second half. Linden would play the Trojans tough all the way through until late with time dwindling down until Leo Erfourth connected with Ryder Canfield to put the Trojans out front again at 2-1. Linden wouldn’t give up though, and would get their chances to draw even again, until Stone Pierce would take a curling shot that the Linden keeper deflected down and straight into a crashing Christian LeConte who would bury the rebound in the back of the net to put the Trojans on top and the game just out of reach at 3-1 with just minutes left. The win puts the Trojans at 11-1 on the season and 6-1 in FML play. Next up is a weekend invitational at Carmen Ainsworth with the first game against Kearsley on Saturday morning and either a consolation game or championship game following. Next week the Trojans welcome Lake Fenton to Willman Field on Monday night, before traveling to Goodrich on Wednesday. (Photos Courtesy of Voula Erfourth)
