The Trojans travelled to Fenton in a battle of unbeaten teams on Monday. The game lived up to expectations. Both teams would play hard, tough games, but ultimately the Tigers would prevail, wining 2-1. Starting the game in the first half, the Trojans would allow a goal early, conceding and looking to try to catch up to the pace of action from the high energy Tigers. Fenton would miss again and often, with the Trojans still trying to adjust to the speed of play, with several Tigers shots just missing. The Trojans would score next off a Brady Rappuhn goal coming from off the ball through the middle of the field finding a pass in and calming slotting home the goal to tie the game at 1-1. The Trojans were finally on the front foot and looked to maybe have some momentum and for the better part of the game, took the play at the Tigers. Missing several corners with headers just going over the top of the goal, and several tap ins, just being missed. Over the last 15 minutes it would be the Tigers attacking over and over, with the Trojans getting breaks but failing to convert. With 22 seconds to go, the Trojans failed to clear several balls and looked to break on one, but were caught out and had to track back to a Tiger attacker where the Trojans committed a tough challenge but one that was from behind and rightfully a Tiger penalty. They would convert that chance and take the game 2-1. Special note to the Trojan fans and families that did come make the trip. The players could feel that energy.
