JV Boys Soccer Holds On for 4-3 Victory

The Owosso JV Boys Soccer team continued its strong development with a hard-fought 4-3 victory, putting together another encouraging performance as the young Trojans continue to improve day in and day out. Owosso opened the scoring when Jordan Porter found the back of the net off an assist from Cooper Collard. Spencer Sobak added the Trojans' second goal, with Brady Cummings providing the assist. Cummings continued to make an impact offensively, setting up Braden Nicholson for Owosso's third goal of the contest. The Trojans then stretched their lead with their fourth goal when Brady Cummings found the back of the net off an assist from Roby. The opponent took advantage with two late goals to tighten the score, but Owosso held on to secure the 4-3 victory. In goal, Layne Martin turned away seven shots, helping preserve the win for the Trojans. Cummings finished an impressive night with one goal and two assists, contributing to three of Owosso's four goals. More importantly, the JV Trojans continue to show progress with each opportunity on the field. The team's growth, versatility and willingness to learn have been evident as the season progresses, with the group continuing to improve day in and day out. (Photos by Voula Erfourth)
