The Boys Varsity soccer team traveled to Eastbrook for their first away game of the season tonight. The Eagles and Panthers battled in the first half and went into halftime with a 0-0 draw. Early in the second half, the Panthers got on the board 1-0. The Eagles fought their way back into the game and were able to score an equalizer. The goal was scored by Caden Myers off of a Carter Kreitzer corner kick. The game ended 1-1 and was forced into overtime. Neither team could find the back of the net during OT which sent the game to PK’s. The Panthers pulled out the victory 4-3 on penalty kicks. The three Eagles that scored in penalty kicks were Caden Myers, Luke Elzinga and Dylan Baker. The Eagles defense led by Matthew Lawson, Gavriel Young and Eli Gardner played exceptional throughout the game. Ben Babinski also had a great game with 13 saves for the Eagles to keep the game tight.
