The OHTF Golden Eagles wrapped up their 2025 regular season Monday competing in the Triangular meet with host Northfield and Lakeland Christian. Resting the majority of the varsity athletes that competed last Friday's Central Indiana Conference the Golden Eagles well to Northfield 67-57 but beat Lakeland Christian 57-34. Golden Eagle Freshman Bret Hueston had a big night as he was the only OHTF athlete to win multiple events while adding a runner up finish in a 3rd. Hueston individually won the 1600 Meter Run and took 2nd in the 3200 meter Run while helping the 4x800 Meter Relay take 1st as well. Joining Hueston on the relay was Senior Owen Roth, Junior Marc Caritos, and Freshman Christian Smiley. The Golden Eagles also got a win from the 4x100 Meter Relay. Team members Freshmen Noah Wagner, Jaxin Magers, Adam Esslinger, along with Sophomore Ben Babinski. Additional individual wins on the night came from Junior Thane Jones in the Shot Put and Sophomore Kyle Brower in the Pole Vault. The Golden Eagles managed to grab five runner up finishes as well. Wagner was 2nd in the 100 Meter dash, Esslinger 2nd in the High Jump, Caritos 2nd in the 400 Meter Run, and Senior Barrett Jones in the Disc. The 4x400 Meter Relay of Caritos, Roth, Smiley, and Esslinger was also 2nd. The Golden Eagles now prepare for the start of the IHSAA Tourney Series next Thursday May 22nd in the Marion Sectional.
