OHTF Lady Eagles Win 11 of 16 Events to Capture their 16th Straight Grant 4 Title - Campbell, Nuber, Dailey, Brunner All Win Multiple Events

The OHTF Lady Eagles won 11 of 16 events, swept all 3 relays, collected an additional 5 Runner Up finishes all in route to scoring 116 points and winning their 16th straight Grant 4 Championship Friday at Madison Grant. The Lady Eagles outdistanced 2nd place Eastbrook who scored 49 points. Madison Grant was 3rd with 45.5 points and Mississinewa scored 32.5. Lady Eagle Senior Ellie Campbell and Junior Lexi Nuber led the way as both won 3 events. Campbell also added a Runner Up finish as well as a new Grant 4 Meet Record. Freshman Bri Dailey and Sophomore Quinn Brunner were both double event winners. Campbell won the Long Jump in a new meet record of 18-0.5, the 2nd best jump of her career. She added wins in the 100 Meter Dash and 200 Meter Dash as well on top of her 2nd in the High Jump. In the 100 and 200 Campbell was joined by classmate Cail Bowlin who posted a 3rd in the 100 and 2nd in 200. Bowlin earned a 1st in the 4x100 Meter Relay along with classmate Riley Alfandre, Junior Ava Keith, and Sophomore Annie Hale. Nuber swept the hurdle events winning both the 100 Meter Hurdles and 300 Meter Hurdles. She also was part of the winning 4x400 Meter Relay. Joining her on the relay were Dailey along with Junior Audrey Rex and Sophomore Lilly Edwards. Dailey added her other win in the 400 Meter Dash followed closely by Edwards in 2nd for a 1-2 event sweep. Dailey also took 3rd in the High Jump. Brunner was the winner of the 800 Meter Run, took 3rd in the 1600 Meter Run, and anchored the winning 4x800 Meter Relay. Joining Brunner on the relay was Junior Biruk Travis, Sophomore Erika Newhouse, and Freshman Lilly Hunt. The only other individual 1st on the night belonged to Senior Jennessa Shields who won the Discus. Shields also took 2nd in the Shot Put. Senior Abby Sneed and Keith grabbed a 2nd and 3rd in the Pole Vault for big points as well. Additional Top 3 finishes came from Travis in the 800, Hunt in the 3200 Meter Run, Newhouse in the 300 Hurdles, and Freshman Alexei Butche in the 100 Hurdles. The Lady Eagles host Senior Night on Tuesday with a triangular meet with Alexandria and Mississinewa.
