The OHTF Lady Eagles won 13 of 15 Events Tuesday in a Triangular Meet at Frankton against the host Lady Eagles and Sheridan. In all the Lady Eagles also managed a 1-2-3 event sweep in 2 events and a 1-2 event sweep in 9 to total 115.5 Points. Sheridan was 2nd with 22.5 points while Frankton totaled 17. On the night the Lady Eagles had 6 athletes win multiple events. Senior Ellie Campbell led the way with 3 wins. She individually won the Long Jump with a mark near 17 feet and another solid run in the 200 Meter Dash clocking another sub 27 effort. She led a 1-2 finish in the Long Jump with Sophomore Erika Newhouse taking 2nd in over 15 feet. Campbell, who added a 2nd place herself in the High Jump, also anchored the 4x100 Meter Relay to a win. Joining her on the relay were Senior Classmates Cail Bowlin and Riley Alfandre along with Junior Ava Keith. Bowlin who took 2nd to Campbell in the 200 claimed her own individual win in the 100 Meter Dash. Senior Jennessa Shields swept the throws winning both the Shot Put and Discus. In both events Shields led at least a 1-2-3-4 finish. The Lady Eagles swept the top 4 spots in the Discus and the top 5 spots in the Shot Put. Following Shields in the Shot Put were Senior Classmate Gwen Thompson, Freshman Aubree Barcomb, Junior Madelyn Cheek, and Freshman Brooklyn Young. Cheek, Young, and Barcomb followed Shields in 2-3-4 in the Disc. Junior Lexi Nuber swept the hurdles races winning both the 100 Meter Hurdles and the 300 Meter Hurdles. Sophomores Quinn Brunner and Kora Pond both grabbed double wins teaming up with Junior Biruk Travis and Freshman Lilly Hunt to win the 4x800 Meter relay. Brunner individually won the 1600 Meter Run in a new personal best mark while Pond won the 800 Meter Run. Brunner took 3rd in the 800 behind Pond. Other individual wins on the night came from Freshman Bri Dailey in the High Jump clearing 5 feet for the 1st time and Classmate Rossi Skinner in the 3200 Meter Run. Dailey also took runner up honors in the 300 Hurdles behind Nuber. Additional Runner Up finishes for the Lady Eagles were Junior Sophia Rowland in the 3200 Meter Run, Sophomore Lilly Edwards in the 400 Meter Dash, and the 4x8 Relay of Juniors Addison Carey and Kailtyn Scalf along why Sophomore Lilly Snyder and Skinner. The 4x400 Meter Relay of Snyder, Hunt, along with Sophomore Jaden Denham and Freshman Emi Babinski also took 2nd place. The Lady Eagles now 3-0 on the season host the Annual Co-Ed Oak Hill Relays this Saturday April 19th.
