OHTF Lady Eagles Start Outdoor Season by Winning 12 Events Beating Maconaquah 95-37 - Campbell Wins 4 Events, Bowlin and Nuber 3

The OHTF Lady Eagles started the 2025 outdoor season with a strong effort against a very talented Maconaquah team Thursday taking 1st in 12 of the 16 events and winning 95-37. Senior Lady Eagle Ellie Campbell won all 4 of her events while classmate Cail Bowlin and Junior Lexi Nuber both won 3 events. Fellow Senior Jennessa Shields was the lone other multi event winner for the Lady Eagles. Campbell individually won the High Jump, Long Jump, and 200 Meter Run. She joined Bowlin along with Senior Riley Alfandre and Junior Ava Keith to win the 4x100 Meter Relay. Bowlin was a close 2nd to Campbell in the 200 as the Senior duo clocked the 3rd and 4th fastest times in Program History. The event was 1 of 3 1-2-3 event sweeps for the Lady Eagles on the night as Sophomore Annie Hale took 3rd also in a Program Top 10 All Time mark. Bowlin individually won the 100 Meter Dash in the 4th best time in Program History and was part of the winning 4x400 Meter Relay. Nuber who won both the 100 Meter and 300 Meter Hurdle races joined Bowlin on the 4x4 along with Sophomore Kora Pond and freshman Bri Dailey. Shields swept the throwing events winning both the Shot Put and Disc. Both marks were the 4th best in Program History. Other event winners on the night were Sophomore Quinn Brunner in the 1600 Meter Run who recorded a 22 second personal best for the win and followed it up with a near full minute personal best in the 3200 Meter Run for 2nd Place. Sophomore Lilly Edwards had a tough come form behind win in the 400 Meter Dash. The Lady Eagles recorded some strong Runner Up Finishes as well. Dailey had a very good night taking 2nd in the High Jump to Campbell and 2nd in the 300 Hurdles behind Nuber. Nuber and Dailey both posted Top 10 Program All Time Marks in the 300 Hurdles. Campbell and Dailey were part of a 1-2-3-4 Place sweep in the High Jump with Junior Sophia Rowland taking 3rd and Pond 4th. Pond ran a very impressive Top 10 Program All Time mark in the 800 Meter Run for a photo finish 2nd. Senior Abby Sneed posted a high mark in the Pole Vault taking 2nd as well. Freshman Alexei Butche was 2nd to Nuber in the 100 Hurdles while Sophomore Erika Newhouse was 2nd to Campbell in the Long Jump. Freshman Rossi Skinner took a solid 2nd and 3rd in the 1600 and 3200. She was part of the 1-2-3 event sweep in the 1600 with Brunner and Freshman Lilly Hunt. The Lady Eagles 4x800 Meter Relay of Juniors Addison Carey, Kaitlyn Scalf, and Rowland along with Sophomore Lilly Snyder took 2nd. The Lady Eagles are back in action Tuesday April 15th in a triangular meet with Frankton and Sheridan.
