Traveling to Mississinewa to play is always a hostile environment, but the Golden Eagles competed and won a hard earned victory in a grind out game 40-38. The Indians hit a shot at the buzzer at the half to take a 2 point lead. The Golden Eagles then came out and took the lead half way through the 3rd and hung on to the very end. Jace Tonagel led the way with 22 points, 8 rebounds 5 steals and 3 assists. RJ Shugart scored 15 points, had 3 rebounds, and a pair of steals. Owen Middlesworth had 3 points. Landon Cruzan had 4 rebounds and an assist. Landon Watts had 4 rebounds. Luke Elzinga and Beckham Lamb had a pair of rebounds and Ryan Lawson had a rebound and a steal. The Golden Eagles have to turn around and play a very good Maconaquah team tomorrow night with the JV tipping off at 6pm.
