Recently the Indiana Cross Country Coaches Association (IATCCC) released their 2024 Postseason All State Teams. The Association recognizes the four basketball classes, and within each class are 12 1st Team Selections and roughly 12-30 Honorable Mention Selections. OHXC, for the 25th straight year had at least 1 athlete earn a spot on the Class 2A or Class 3A All State Teams. Junior Golden Eagle Corban Tippey following a solid fall campaign earned Class 2A Honorable Mention All State Honors. It marked the 5th straight season a Golden Eagle was recognized on either the Class 2A or Class 3A Team. With the adjustment of Basketball Classifications this year the Golden Eagles dropped back down to Class 2A once again. Tippey’s fall included an individual title at the Central Indiana Conference to earn him 1st Team All Conference Honors for the 3rd straight year. His Conference Title marked the 13th straight year an OHXC Athlete has won the individual title at the Championship Meet. He was Runner Up at the Grant 4 to earn All County Honors for the 3rd straight year and enters his Senior season next year ranked 33rd All Time in Program History for 5k Personal Best Times. His INCCStats online computer ranking has him ranked 30th All Time in Program History. Tippey in part earned this recognition not only through his efforts at Conference and Grant 4 but also through earning Podium Medals at a trio of large Statewide Invitationals - Marion Invitational, Brown County’s Eagle Classic, and at the Culver Academy Invitational. Tippey secured his place on the All State team with a highly respectable Top 60 Finish at the IHSAA New Haven Super Regional. In all, OHXC has now had 38 Class 2A & 3A All State Selections the last 11 seasons alone.
