The OHXC Golden Eagles wrapped up their 2024 season Saturday with a highly respectable 17th Place Finish competing in the IHSAA New Haven Super Regional at Huntington University. The event which now serves as the Semi State round sees the Top 25 Teams and Top 75 Individuals in this portion of the state compete for 5 Team Spots and 15 Individual Spots for next weekend's IHSAA State Finals. With their Top 20 Team finish the Golden Eagles were 1 of only 9 Class 2a schools to earn a Top 17 Regional Finish, and 1 of of 12 Class 1a or 2a Programs. Junior Corban Tippey led the way with a strong 60th Place Finish in 17:23. Classmate Brayden Sommers back just 3 weeks from what was believed to be a possible season ending injury was a solid 85th in 17:44.
